On July 2nd, our group met at the home of John Baillie. We tasted six wines on John’s patio overlooking a beautiful garden. At the end of the tasting, it was announced that all the wines were purchased for less than $10. Our group, however, rated these wines nearly as well as more expensive wines. So, it is taste that matters, not price. We also enjoyed some sourdough bread and a variety of cheeses.
Our next gathering will be held at noon, August 6th at the home of Rich Pescatore. This will be our annual Beer and Bratwurst event along with beans and salad. A number of beers will be presented for tasting and evaluation.
