Might Carl suffer from a lack of planning? On the surface maybe. Is there something beneath the surface?
BIG RAM SPOTLIGHT ON:
Dave Harris, Webmaster & Asst. Secretary
We met for a cinnamon roll at Madonna’s Copper Café. Anybody who has eaten at theCopper Café knows the colossal nature of their cinnamon rolls. It was Dave’s first time. “I can’t eat it all”, he mused. He took half his roll home in a box, pondering how he could hide it from his wife.
Dave is our webmaster and newly installed Assistant Secretary. He is on both the Executive Committee and the Membership Committee. We talked about some activity ideas. He would like to expand our use of technology. He might call his group Outreach. It would serve both the experienced and novice RAM, honing skills of computer, production and fun.
Three different areas Outreach might tackle:
- They could remake all SLORAM videos done a generation ago.
- They could create tutorials for reluctant RAMs to navigate our website, then every corner of the web (“To infinity and beyond!” –Buzz Lightyear).
- Reflecting the voluntary nature of our DNA at SLORAM, “all content creators must be on the same page”. We desire to reinvent the wheel as few times as possible.
Dave’s idea and Carl’s poetry have this
in common; the delightful, tingling feeling that all things created are incomplete, and deserve our response.
